New Wine Discipleship Year Students / 2020-2021

We are looking for New Wine Discipleship Year Students at the St Paul’s Ealing family of churches (St Paul’s Ealing, St Mellitus Hanwell & St John’s Ealing). Naturally in the light of current circumstances we are aware of the need to be flexible with our plans but subject to how the Covid-19 situation develops we hope to offer three full time Discipleship Year placements within the St Paul’s family of churches beginning in September 2020. There will be a particular focus on working within the children’s and youth ministries of our churches, but there will also be the opportunity to serve and gain experience in other areas of church life depending on students’ gifting and passion (for example worship, women’s ministry, social action). We provide accommodation with other DY students and young adults, and will provide some financial support including help with fees.

What are we looking for? At the St Paul’s family of churches, we are looking to invest in dynamic, committed and teachable young adults (18-24) who want to grow as disciples and serve Jesus and his Kingdom. We believe this year will equip you for a lifetime of fruitfulness. As we seek to reach out and develop other churches in the local area we are also looking for people with an innovative and pioneering spirit. As part of the placement you will spend one day a week with the New Wine Discipleship Year Ealing Hub, which involves gathering with other DY students from around West London for great teaching, training and equipping to grow as disciple-making disciples of Jesus. You’ll also have an opportunity to go overseas on a short-term mission trip and be part of two DY weekends away as part of the year.
