Discipleship Year Internships at St Paul’s Ealing 2017/18

We are offering three full time Discipleship Year internships here at St Paul’s Ealing beginning in September 2017.

Our internships are in a variety of areas of church life. The children’s internship and youth internship will each be full time in these ministry departments. Other internships will be a combination of: worship; serving in one of our partner churches (St Mellitus Hanwell); women’s ministry; evangelism and more.

For each internship, St Paul’s Ealing will provide free accommodation in a house with other interns or young adults, pay your Discipleship Year fees and provide living expenses during the year.

We’re looking to invest in dynamic, committed and teachable young adults (18-24) who are looking to grow as committed disciples and serve Jesus and his Kingdom.

As part of your internship you will be doing the New Wine Discipleship Year each Tuesday, which will involve great teaching, training and equipping to grow as disciple-making disciples of Jesus. You’ll have an opportunity to go overseas on a short-term mission trip as part of the year.

For more information please contact Chris Fox (chris@stpaulsealing.com) or to apply download the application and reference forms here. Interviews will be taking place on Monday 15 May 2017.

Who is it for?

The Discipleship Year is for those aged 18-24 and it will take you on a life-changing journey of discovery and adventure. You’ll be inspired, get some practical ‘hands on’ Kingdom experience, make life-long friendships and have a lot of fun in the process!

Each training centre will invest eight hours each week in teaching, training and equipping you to grow as a disciple of Jesus. Alongside this you’ll be mentored, coached and invested in by local church leaders. The teaching will cover a number of core subjects including growing a deep life with God, our identity in Christ, the Kingdom of God & the ministry of Jesus, understanding and applying the Bible today, evangelism, leadership, character development and calling amongst others! You’ll learn from some inspirational and experienced leaders from different spheres of life, including church and the marketplace.

In turn you’ll be serving in the local church and/or Christian organisation where you get to put into practice all that you are learning. This could be in any number of different areas including youth and children’s work, social justice, worship, creative media, family ministry and evangelism. These placements are a minimum of 12hrs per week. Typically you will find your own accommodation and work part time to cover living expenses. However, some placements provide accommodation and some financial support with fees and living costs. For more information contact the training centres.
